Dua lipa is a Brit musician and singer born on August 22, 1995, in London. After working as a fashion model her decision was to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number three in the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles, including Be the One I.D.G.A.F and her U.K. number-one single New Rules which reached number 6 in the United States. Lipa won The Brit Awards in 2018 as a British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act and her album has been declared platinum in a variety of countries. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Dua Lipa is Bosnian descendance via her maternal grandmother. Her ancestors are also traced back to Kosovo town of Peja. Lipa's two grandfathers are both historians. She is the sibling of Rina Lipa and an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was greatly influenced in her musical tastes by her father, who was the guitar player and lead singer of the Kosovan rock band Oda.
