Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe came from a multi-cultural family. Born in South London. The father of her is Nigerian and Swiss, while the mother of her is English. She was raised in a south London council estate and attended The Brit School at age 14. She graduated with a BA in acting from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While attending the academy, she appeared in numerous stage productions such as The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. She has since made appearances in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the character of Cassandra) as well as Ewan McGrath. After the film's success, Madekwe was cast as Elisha on The BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured for six seasons Trexx and Flipside. She played Bambi as Bambi in the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe played the lead role for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy that was released in 2008. Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her official US debut on the Drama series The Beautiful Life, which just aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. In February, she was cast 2011, as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe was a regular on the drama series of Revenge on ABC during two seasons. It was revealed in May 2013 that she was set to quit the show after completing an appearance in the initial series of the 3rd. Madekwe starred as Tituba in the television series Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe married her long-time lover, Iddo. They've worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and he also had a role alongside her on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Ashley Leggat was born to Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram and Rob. Ashley's brothers, who are all sportsmen, played baseball in summers and played hockey in winters. Ashley was never a walker, she was a dancer, and when she was two and a half she began Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. This was the beginning of Ashley's interest in dance. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, tap and jazz in high divisions. The important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the title "top soloist".
