Annie Murphy, aka Anne Frances Murphy was born at 19th December, 1986. The Canadian native has worked in Hollywood's film industry on many different projects. Her most prominent role was of Alexis Rose from the CBC sitcom Schitt's Mill, the series that began in 2014 and finished in 2020. Her performance received high praise from critics, and she was awarded with the Primetime Emmy Award. She was born in Ottawa, Ontario in Canada. Her parents both taught. Elmwood School Ottawa was where she first began to perform on the stage. Then she attended Concordia University where she earned an education in theatre. Then she attended lessons at the Canadian Film Centre Actor's Conservatory in which she studied how to act. She moved into Los Angeles in her early teens and then began her journey into acting. Annie Murphy launched her acting career with the 2007 crime-thriller Telefilm Lethal Obsession. The actress went on to play smaller roles as well as additional ones in various films.
